Lieberman, Inc.

Not only do they copy Apple's site design, but they are stealing from icon artists that we are most familiar with!

http://go-l.com/winxp4l/winxp4l/index.htm

In that page alone, I can see icons from Mattahan (GANT) and some from JairoB! Even Everaldo's icons are visible in that page, and I bet they have no permissions whatsoever. Not only that but it seems they bundle MyIE and Trillian with their computers.

From what I hear about that site, is that it is all a hoax. Many people have ordered from them and received nothing and magazines have tried to contact nothing either. It is just a scam site for all I know. The site is very well put together and makes it highly believable. But I wouldn't worry about that site, not exactly a great repuation.

#199808

Careful with what you say here people. Liebermann inc have been proven to be a legit site (wether we like it or not. wether we believe it or not). Your views and basic assumptions are not facts, remember that and saying that Liebermann inc is a hoax can be considered as slander and we could get sued.

Ego, careful with what you say. For all that you know they might have the authorization to use those icons... who knows...

PS: Why is this not in Unauthorized works and Rips?

Hmmmm no where I have I ever seen that site it is legit. <_< Here are some links interesting links about the site. http://www.pcsympathy.com/article290.html http://plex.us/outbursts/liebermann.html

You can believe it or not. ;)

#199812

That is some interesting reading, blackice ;)

My point remains, no accusations without proof.

I beleive Jairo has already said that he has not given any permission for his icons to be use there (source: Lou)

Well...they are dumbasses right off the start for saying XP is the best operating system there is. Linux is far superior is terms of speed and stability as well as how the shells look. XP has it down for ease of use, but that is as far as it goes.

"Introducing XP Professional: The operating system for incompetent computer users!"

Hells yeah!

#199835

Well, its not perfect, but its miles better then any previouse

windows version except maybe 2000 and 95 :P

#199875

If your going with speed, stability, and shell look then I would say Be OS is the best OS. But frankly there are more things to that to an OS. I personally think XP is the best OS, even though I like Be OS better. XP is a lot more user friendly, and uses a lot mroe new technology (I have yet to find a linux distro that can use my wireless PCI card).

#199877

If this has to turn into an "insert OS name here" is better than "insert OS name here" ill close it. We have had way too many of those and anyone with half brains (even no brains at all) could realize that an OS is better or worse depending the use you give it.

I thought we had learned that lesson... -_-

That is a very good point. XP and OSX are the definite top contenders for the best two Operating systems. They are easy to use and OSX is especially stable while (ashamed to say this, disproves my other point) XP hasnt crashed on me in 3 or 4 months! I have had it running for weeks at a time, although, after a while it gets slow and glitchy and I have to restart. With good system managment and an intelligent person using the computer XP really doesnt have too many problems.

EDIT

It runs well...especially if you dont try to change SYSTEM FILES!!!!

I have had a few problems lately. No more changing for me!

edit2

this thread is now worthless and should be killed

#199917

Maybe, it's just me but I don't think that site looks anything like Apple's.

What's point of editing posts unless it a grammatical mistake. DOn't censore yourself and pleaase don't ever edit a post if you get pwned (I'm not saying that's what happened). Admit your mistake and move on.

#199919

i can't believe Liebermann got a tacit defense in this thread!

If you read the links I posted they used information from that page to contact them and etc and found them to be a hoax. Maybe the information on the icons is true, but who knows.

#199962

oh yeah, i dont give a crap if they are legit or not, i was just posting that in reference to the icon thing is all

#199966

What I mean is, just saying that you used icons from xicons.com doesn't mean that they have the RIGHT to use them...no?

Independent review

I agree with Lou concerning some of the icons. Not all of what they used were done with permission.
