[help] Weird Crashes Out Of The Blue

Since about last week my object dock seems to be going a little nuts. Everytime I want to change a shortcut icon... and hit browse to find the image, it crashes. I looked on Stardocks FAQ page and didn't find anything. Any ideas?

Some steps:

- quit objectdock

- rename your CurrentTheme.ini

- start object dock

- rebuild your config manually by adding your docklets one by one

- verify after each adition that you can still browse for a shortcut icon

- keep away from the docklet after whose addition you can't browse anymore.

OD seems to have problems with some Docklets changeing the

process' current directory but I forgot which one that was...

Hi idwalsh, I have the same problem, just out of the blue Objectdock crashes. This happens quite often. Anybody have any suggestions I love this program, but it is becoming annoying . This just happens intermitantly, I can't pinpoint any particular activity when this happens. However I must say after I remove sys docklet there hasn't been any crashes. Keeping my fingers crossed

hey guys, describe at all what you were doing when this was happening? if for changing a shortcut icon, i heard jdwalsh say "and hit browse to find the image, it crashes."... now is that it crashes after you click the "Change Image" button? and if so, before or after the choose image dialog appears? or, is it when you click the actual "Browse" button from within the Choose Image dialog?

any bugs found do not make me happy, i want to fix this up asap! let me know any more details... by the way, new 'beta' build "v1.04.477" coming up on StardockCentral soon that tries to fix some of the problems in the previous releases.

do you have flyakite v6 installed on your system? there is a problem with comctl32.dll

in flyakites files which causes programs to crash when browsing for a file. This was happening to me with objectbar, windowblinds, object dock etc... replacing the file with the backed up version did the trick.

hope this helps..

my bug happens sometimes out of the blue (OD is not even in focus) and sometimes when i quit it (right click>quit)

This just happens intermitantly, I can't pinpoint any particular activity when this happens. However I must say after I remove sys docklet (ObjectDock Tray

by Melchior Moos Version 1.21) there hasn't been any crashes. Keeping my fingers crossed.

the tray docklet has very severe crash problems
