Font Editing

Does anyone know of nice util for font editing/creation that will easilly apply a drop shadow?

I use fontlab. It's the best text edit program I have found (edit TTF, Type1, Opentype...).

The problem is add shadow. In TTF only is possible add one color and one layer. Type1 use default antialising. I use this format and I'm working in create default windows font (Arial, Symbol, MS Shell Dlg, Times New Roman...) in Type1 and sustitute it.

I have all my windows with antialising font this way and with cleartype.
