Do you have the newest version of windowblinds? The skins uses .tga files for the min max close buttons. They are only compatible with the new version of windowblinds.

Flyakite system files...

the system preferences toolbar part that you see is part of a windowblinds skin :)

A little update...

I fixed the graphite skin but I decided to rework the whole skin (using alot of the same images) From the ground up so that I could catch any bugs. Before I was using a template from another skin but this time should be better. I have already fixed the probelm I was having with the taskbar and now I just have to re-add all the substlyes. Should be done soon...

Great skin but I have a problem with Internet Explorer and Outlook Express. They both crash! I'm using the latest version of Windowblinds, on Windows XP. Any suggestions on what's wrong?

first, thanx bzeitler for your work!

but i have a question about using WB. I never use it before, because i dont know the difference between WB and VS Style.

In the moment, i use the Systemfiles from "Wizard" and the VS from "KoL" (http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/index.php?showtopic=18309)

So i think, my sytem looks nearly like a MAC.

But...what is the difference or maybe better when i using your (or another) WB Skin???

I hope somebody understand my question... -_-

Sorry for my bad english...

thanx from germany

Hi cycso.

Im glad you like the skin. Windowblinds is quite different than visual styles. It offers several advantages. First... You can use different skins at the same time. You can set one skin as your base skin but use others for every application on your computer. So it allows you to further change the way your computer works. For example: I am currenly using a brushed skin for firefox (safari) My system preferecnes skin for Run32dll.exe which gives the look of the Tiger "preferences" to all my control panel windows and my tiger skin as the base for everything else. The second advantage is you can position the min/max/close glyphs any place that you want. So you can really have left sided glyphs. Third, you can supply animation for buttons so they pulse like the real mac buttons, Fourth you can include file copying/transfer/delete avi's on a per skin basis so they dont have to be reshacked, fourth, you dontn have to use yztoolbar to change your windows toolbar. That is just a few of the advantages of windowblinds.

Oh and dont worry about resources becuase it doesnt use any more than a regular visual style.

Hope this helps

bzeitler

oh and you can still use whatever system files that you want to .

#198725

I have a new version basically complete... It does NOT include substlyes yet. I would like a few volunteers who would test the new version and get back to me quickly what needs to be fixed. As soon as this is done I will add all the substes and release the skin.

PM me or email me if you are interested in helping.

Great Job, very complete!
