[wip] Guireplacer Snow E2

well for those of you that follow GUIReplacer here is my latest theme im working on. guir replaces the resources on your system.. not the actual files. eg takes you system file whatever the language, version. takes teh resources and replaces it with what the script says. pretty much like batchmod but kept in an 11mb file.

now i have a problem. permission. i have waited to weeks with no reply and have jsut sent another email. has any1 had experience with Sascha and know what my chances are of permission. there seems to be a lot of snow e2 stuff around so i figure he gives it out.

any better way to contact him feedback on his site?

now this will work with previously modified files such as flyakite 6.0 etc. BUT the problem is the bitmaps it replaces wont be right as many of the dialogs have been changed and also the avis could seem very out of whack as well. but from an icon perspective it will add a nice snowe2 effect

if there was demand i could do a simple icon only version for those who want to apply to these modified systems.

thanks guys. im really hoping i can get the permission because this was one a lot of people had asked me to do. im just worried that since he has given permission on a few shell pack like things so far he may not want to give it again.

Just a question? Why the animations have that background? I saw something before but I can't remember what it was. I know that windowblinds (wich is not the case) can use animations without backgrounds.

windows blinds or shell pack it doesnt matter you can have no background. however the person who created the avis wanted a background and i backed him totally to do so. sometimes on some themes with dark colours problems can come from using no background. depend on if you leave shadows in etc.

anyway rolando is working on putting the avis centred rather then to the left side.

Your link points to a shell32.dll replacement and this thread is about a GUIreplacer module, that's the difference. :smartass:

wow sorry guys i havent been here in some time..

update on the module is permission it granted and it will be released. i ahve a 1 week break comming up and i certainly hope to be able to finish all that is in my hands on this project during that time.

rolando (more famous for his msn skins) is responsible for the avis and some new icons i needed with a snow look. he has been very busy the past few weeks so hasnt been able to deliver what i needed from him. so if it gets to the point where i've done all i wanted to do myself and he isnt ready then i will release and give you all an update later on.
