Speakers

I am in the market for some new computer speakers. I was looking at the JBL Creature II's at bestbuy and realized that they were damnnnnnice for their size. The touch volume +/- is cool too, I couldnt figure out how the hell to change it at first. Heh..

Anyway, I have about $100 to spend on speakers, any others you guys recommend?

EDIT

Topic Moved.

Will you people never use the new structure?

I recommend the Logitech Z-640 70 watt 5.1 surround sound speakers. They're the best performace for price. They retail for $80, but I got mine brand new for $46 from Amazon.com. They go great with my Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS. ^_^

BTW, happy birthday :)

Wow, those logitechs are cheap! The creatures look much cooler, though.

Sorry to bump this after only about half a day.

Do you people not have speakers attached to your computers?

eh?

#197536

No, i use my optical line out to connect my dualie to my home threater :D

#197539

Yea, I have my computer hooked to my bookshelf-surroundsound-cd changer thingamajig. JBL's are prolly your best bet with your budget.

I have a decent 2.0 Labtec speakers for my computer.

But last Christmas, I got those Creature speakers you were eyeing specially for my iPod in my room. I have to say, they are quite nice. They can get really loud and still not pop or anything. The only complaint that I have is when you do change the volume via touch, it does give a little pop. I don't know if that is intentional so you know when it is being adjusted or what.

Not to mention, with all the white, smooth shape and silver accents, it does match the iPod really nicely.

Well, so far all the reviews of them that I have seen have been very positive. I will pick em up at bestbuy later to-day!

I have my PC hooked up (WireLess !) to a 350 watt amp that feeds 4

150 watt speakers and a bunch of littler ones (way to many to count).

Also I have my monitor speakers as tweaters :)

I use those JBL Creature Speakers in white. Absolutely love them. I recommend anyone to use them. :)

i was using apple pro speakers, wich sounded really good, and i got an isub, but it didn't work. so i got rid of the whole apple sound stuff and am using these no name speakers and sub that i got at walmart, but they look like the isub and sound sticks(there clear).

i still have the isub and apple pro spears if anyone wants to buy them off me...

I think the JBL Creature II speakers are great. If I get my Powerbook anytime soon, I'm gonna get those to go with it. The only other ones I could suggest is the Creative I-Trigue L3450 I-Trigue Don't mind the price, it's a Canadian site.

Yes, that's intentional. I have the original Creature speakers, and I can't live without them.

not to let u down ...

i heard that speaker sound, they not sound too good, the high frequency sound too high, it hurt my ears, just my 2 cent tho ...

and YES, they look very nice, but sounds not too good.

i'm going to get soundsticks... i think. I am not quite sure as to what i'm going to get, but i really like the soundsticks

#208099

ya the creatures are awsome. i have them aswell

btw:wizard

the lil pop you hear is to inform u that the volume is being adjusted.

@dimensi

you know u could change the eq settings on the computer right? and adjust the treble + bass on the speakers themselves. the speakers are very high quality. they sound great, anyone in the process of buying speakers and on a minimal budget. creature 2 are awsome. great steal
