[request] Anything Like Itunes Watcher For Pc?

Does anyone know of something similar to iTunes Watcher that's for PC? iTunes Watcher is a thing that will display what you've recently listened to in iTunes on your website. It searches Amazon.com and shows the album art and everything. It's only for Mac though. :(

There's one program that springs to mind - AudioScrobbler.

Basically, AudioScrobbler provide a plugin for most major media players on most platforms, and provide members with a lil' page summarising their recently played tracks and their top tracks and so forth...

To top all this off, they also provide an XML feed with all this info (and, I believe, more), so you can point your PHP/ASP/JSP/ASP.Net at this to keep your website up to date...

Other than that, I dunno. ;)

I'm very proud of you Stevie ;)

Audioscrobbler is indeed very, very cool. It's also run by volunteers and donations, so they periodically close signups to rescue the server load. Currently they're open though, so sign up quick!

The iTunes/Win plug-in is only "version 0.4" (all plug-ins are maintained by volunteers too, rather than Audioscrobbler themselves, who just provide the platform). It's perfectly solid though, from what I can tell, apart from one bug in it whereby the "Password" field in specifying a web proxy doesn't hide your password, not too big an issue, just check there's no-one looking over your shoulder... the password field for the actual 'Scrobbler login is fine though.

Like all iTunes/Win plug-ins it actually installs as a visualisation plug-in, but actually works nicely, providing an interface when you enable the Vis, and the "Options" button actually accessing the options for the plug-in. Which is a nicer perk over some that I used once...

If you want a demo of AS, you can take look at my profile. They're also planning to introduce group charts at some point soon (when the server load will be able take it). You'll be able to set up an Aquasoft group and get some kind of weekly music-listening chart generated.

Finally, Audioscrobbler also run the incredibly cool last.fm online radio service for which the logins are unified with Audioscrobbler..

I just signed up for this, and really like it. I do have a question for anyone willing to help me. I would like to incorporate this on my website, but could use a little pointers from anyone using this service. I appreciate any help anyone could offer me.

Thanks in advance !!!

Just tried it out myself. It's a pretty cool service! The site can be slow sometimes though. :( It's not what I'm looking for, but that's alright. Maybe we can start an Aqua-Soft group? :naughty: Here's my page.

You can get an RDF feed of your 10 most recent tracks by going to ";http://ws.audioscrobbler.com/rdf/history/".

This could then be parsed by any existing PHP RDF parse you might be able to get hold of and bung the output onto the homepage. I'm currently trying to put together a little module for b2Evo to do this and to automatically cache the RDF, rather than hitting AudioScrobbler on every hit.

I'll check the license of the RDF/RSS parser I'm using and see if I can release it all as one bundle when it's done, if not then I'll just release my part of it.

One thing I don't like about AS is that it skips songs randomly every now and then o_O
