[request] Prolcd Logonui...

After my recent reformat of my WinXP SP1 laptop, I was wondering if anyone has made a 'logonUI' of the ProLCD (original skin style-not Blue), that would work with all resolutions...?

My laptop has a small (lol) 800 x 600 res, and I know that Judge has made some real nice 'older OSX logonUI' that work with any resolution, but if memory serves correct, it works with Logon Loader...

I would use either Logon Loader, or Stardock's Logon Studio app...

Thanks...

ifido,

Absolutely, as the KoL ProLCD theme has about 8 high quality walls that came with it, all @ 1600 x 1200...

So thank you for your generous/kind offer, and I will PM you, so that we can arrange a set of walls & screenshots that you could use...

;)

Hey that was fast and the 'ss' looks quite nice...Just a couple of questions, as the 'ss' is 1280 x 1024:

Will this work with my smaller resolution that I mentioned above?

Does this work with either:

1. Logon Loader app or

2. Stardock's Logon Studio app

or is this a replacement for my WinXP (default) logonui.exe (ver: 6.0.2800.1106-492kb)

I just like to make very certain, as this is a sensitive/touchy file...

Thanks, and looking forward to your replies... :)

EDIT***

Ok, I see that you kindly made a logonxp file, so that I would use Stardock's Skin Studio:

"LogonStudio uses .logonxp files rather than requiring users to replace their actual logonui.exe.

LogonStudio is free."

Ok, I will wait before attempting to install it, until I see how your test results turn out to see if indeed it will work with all resolutions (especially my mentioned above res on my laptop)

As I have gone through the torture of 2 recent reformats within the last 10 days, and although your work looks nice, I really don't want to have to perform another WinXP SP1 reformat for a long, long, time...lol

You arnt in any danger of a reformat. If it looks so distorted that

you dont manage to log on then just press ALT+CTRL+DEL twice

and you will get the classic w2k Logon. :)

Ok ifido, thanks for your support and prompt reply..

Chris (flyakite) made me a nice Panther Logonui.exe that works with all resolutions (no need for any of the Logon apps), and I had this one before my recent reformats, so when I get the desire for another quality look, I have your ProLCD logonxp skin ready to go...
