I found 3 fonts: Chicago Bold, Chicago Light & Chicago Medium. Put all three of them in c:\WINDOWS\fonts and still no song text...
save your config, shut down Avedesk and restart it... if that doesn't work delete the desklet and start over. And finally if none of that works, reboot and try again. The font just needs to register with the app. 
It worked. I just needed to restart AveDesk that's all.now,I finally can say "good Job" to you!

BTW a little question: What files do I have to mod when I also want to make a desklet?
Just the buttons and the picture of the app?
At least, I have also the problem with the font, and not only with this desklet, I have to dl the font now, like you described. Hm, so you use at many of your skins the font "Chicago"? When yes, then sorry for the many questions and I hope you keep your fantastic style on. Kick ass man! :woot:
