[help] Windows Start Up Is Like 30 Min

:woot: :woot: I recently added a Hd to mysystem with Ms dos I was trying to reformat the drive and put it to good use to mydisgrace it boot Ms dos Oh **** so i removed that Hd so now the problem is that when i wanted to boot my windows Xp Home it would take hella i mean hella long like 30 min to boot wtf now i have to wait hella hela long to do somehting please hep me guys i need some insight plz i think i ****ed up my comp lol'

Well , as far as the HDD, you should of used your winxp disk to format it by booting on to the disk. As far as windows booting really slow, try the following: Boot on to the winxp disk and wait for the windows xp setup menu. go to the recovery console and follow the on-screen instructions. Then type in chkdsk /r and wait for it to complete checking your system files. If that doesn't work then do a repair install. To do this is simple: Wait for the Windows Setup menu and press enter. Follow the on-screen instructions concerning the End-User Licence Agreement. Then you should get a screen saying that Windows Setup has detected a "Damaged" Windows xp installation. If that doesn't work, then lets hope you have your data backed up because this is where you reinstall windows. To do this, follow the instructions for the repair install except press F8 to continue with a fresh install. By the way, this is where you can also format your new hard drive.
