[suggestion] Stop Posting Pics In Spymac

Ok, let's go thru this again...STOP POSTING SCREENIES ON SPYMAC

Posting your desktop in a MAC ONLY community is not only rude, but brings unwanted attention to AquaSoft, AquaXP, and trd.net among others.

You want to show off your desktop so bad? Then show it here or on any of our other sister sites.

What comes over you people to make you think REAL mac users want to see your ugly, cheap knock-off with crappy graphics and half-assed representations of real mac apps? I know people on this site with better screenies which look more like a real mac then anything you people have posted on SpyMac but I dont see them taunting anyone about it. Just enjoy it...stop being a show-off.

Because of a few of our members I have personally recieved rude emails, DoS attacks on my site (go look right now) and many other inconveniences all because some jackass thought it would be 'so cool' to fool a mac user by posting a Windows desktop made to look like a Mac.

Posting your screenshots on SpyMac is giving us a black eye and a bad name, so please cut it out, ok?

That is unless you want to pay the $50 I just spent to upgrade my sites bandwidth.

Some people will hate Aqua Emulation others will think it's neat.

If SpyMac had a problem with window screenshots dont you think they would have their Moderators or Admins remove them?

it should be that simple, but some of these kids like to taunt those who wish us ill will...it's like "HAHA LOOK AT ME AND HOW COOL I AM." as if shoving an XP desktop into thier faces is going to make Mac users say "Wow, I envy you".

and those same people(mac users) who wish us to be destroyed have killed AquaSoft twice and my site 3 times...not sure about AXP, but I wouldnt doubt it

Spymac probably has the most obnoxious crowd I have ever seen. Bunch of elitist Apple whores, huddling together to bash anything non-Apple at every chance they get.

Then why do people from our sitees like to tempt fate?

Because of the arrogance(yes, we too are arrogant) of a few, I have been DoS attacked for the past month to the point of 20gb of bandwidth.

my site normally only does about 8gb a month.

not to mention the masked emails I get from mac users who have no idea I own 4 macs but find it necessary to attack me and my site, and fill my email box with vulgarity.

I am not condoning the actions of the mac users, but again...why tempt fate?

I feel sorry for Duckie getting attacked but asking members here to stop posting on SpyMac isnt the answer. Making an Emulation website is within itself a risk that you took Duckie.

Both sides are immature.

1. How could you possibly blame AquaSoft users for your site being DOS'd? It's some script kiddie doing it. That's like saying "well, he shouldn't have glanced at me the wrong way". Someone like that is just LOOKING for a reason.

2. I never saw the point in showing off your screenshots anyway. I've posted maybe 3 screenshots since I joined. If you did something original (e.g. created your own theme or wallpaper), you'll probably post about it in a separate thread (assuming if you're showing it off, you want to release it).

3. This thread topic itself isn't bad, but Duckie, you posted a bunch of flames. I can't keep this open. We wouldn't allow anyone to post something like:

This isn't even bringing up the technical problems (many of us are REAL mac users) :P.

4. If you feel the need, you can rethink your wording, and post the message again, possibly in a suggestive manner, not in an insulting one. Also, this is the wrong section for the thread. This should be in General Discussion. "Comments and Suggestions" is just for suggestions about the actual site (e.g. I don't think it's staff that's trolling spymac).
