I get that sometimes too.

It's because the web-page your trying to get the info from is either using a different coding, or they put up security against it.

What I do is sometimes switch scripts when this happens.

Ok, everyone, here's what I need.

This is PURELY a BETA. It is NOT a final release.

I could use some help in finalizing this package for release.

So, if your familiar with the apps these widgets use, play around with them, reconfigure them, fix them up. I'm hoping our community can come together to fix any issues in the package.

That's where I have it installed.

I have a more...Mac-like file system.

You changed the name of Samurize?

I changed the location to - C:\Program Files\samurize\Skins\Weather.widget\main.png

I did not realize this is the same thing that I have. I made this yesterday - Mine is a little different though - each PNG is already made for each change in weather.

Still cannot get the weather widget to work. Placed the path to my main.PNG and the other PNGs

What else needs to be modified? and what is the structure of the folders (doesn't seem to work just placing them in the Samurize folder and in the script folder)

Beautiful, I really like the clock, it looks nice especially to an EE major, just one thing though (17:22) does not to be indicated as PM.

That function should be turned off if the clock is displaying military time. just my 2 cents.

Sorry for being such a harsh critic, but here are 2 more suggestions.

1: An option to start at Sunday rather than Monday.

2. Look into how the day if being determined, it's saying Monday on my computer, but rainlander is showing Saturday (the true day), I'll take a screen shot and send it to you if you need it, I have no hosting .

I'm not sure what you want. You are going to have to get in there and configure what you want. I have 20 different files for each change in the weather or style but it has to be changed manually. Let me know how far you got and maybe I or someone here can help

Oh, I thought you got it to change automatically. Maybe I can host the pngs on my server, and if you can write a boolean script for weather to check the url of the weather site first, and then implement the symbol (png) from my server I think it can work.

That will be great, but I don't know javascript. From what I've been hearing and discussing with other people, it is possible - just no one has come up with a script yet.

Problem 1: The digital clock always shows Monday.

Problem 2: The digital clock always shows PM.

Problem 3: I am European, and I was unable to set my city or a city wich is near to my home.

Could you help me please, how should I set the city if I live in Budapest, Hungary?

FYI Guy's,

The weather widget is not possible to recreate entirely in samurize. Samurize isnt controlled by js or vb, but it controls the scripts itself. So dynamic changing of png's isnt possible right now. It has been mentioned in the samurize forums, but the authors said they do NOT want to implement that feature due to too much memory usage.

I think the most viable option would be to make the weather widget in dxscript for desktop x. I think that is possible.

And the clock is great duckie, except for the few problems mentioned above... and I would like it to be 12 hr format instead of 24 hr if possible (ie 12:04 am instead of 00:04 am) Oh, and where is the clock getting it's actions from? I cant seem to find any script for it?
