How Can You Tweak The Page Cannot Be Displayed?

Is it possible to change the Page Cannot be Displayed page that comes up if you tried to open a dead address?

It is, but basically only if you own or have access to the server. You can customize the 404 page. Many sites have their own custom 404 page. If you're asking whether or not you can do it client side, so that whenever you can't find a page, no matter where \ it will display a custom page, then no, that is not possible.

using reshacker, or another res tool..

you can go into the System file.. "shdoclc.dll"

located in the Windows\System32 folder..

in this file are the

DNS Error

Error 404

and many other of the errors that IE likes to give you..

however.. if browseing a web-site.. the 404 page, is server side..

the most common page, is probobly the DNS Error page (this it what you get, when you type in an invalid web URL)
