can u get animated pngs to work from an objectdock app /dx2 app with averdesk ? ... anything extra needed to do this ?

You can use the SysStats weather config - you will need to use the animatedimage overlay that comes with MailChecker 0.9.5. Easiest way is to edit the config with a text editor and change 'ImageOverlay class' to 'AnimatedImageOverlay class'.

You will need to make sure that it is loading the animted images too - check where the 'background' overlay is pointed at. Also if you haven't restarted AveDesk since installing the AnimatedImage overlay - youshoudl restart it.
