Quite some time has passed since the last major updates to PearPC. But that time has passed and the development is going in big steps again!
There are now some builds that emulate the Altivec instructions of a G4. The Win32 builds can be download from Richard Goodwins website or the PearPC Information Station. The download links can be found below...
The advantage of the new Altivec support is...
--better compatibility in future programs (Tiger already runs better with it)
--more speed, because of the processes floating point math operations can be handled which makes the client faster
--your nifty PearPC installation runs as a G4 ![]()
linux users can download from the cvs by entering the following into the terminal:
cvs -z 4 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sf.net:/cvsroot/pearpc co -r altivec pearpc

you can also discuss this in the pearpc irc channel, just follow the same instructions for connecting to aquaxp's irc channel but replace #aquaxp with #pearpc
