Aqua-Soft ForumsHow in blazes do you get the XP standard recycle bin off the desktop? I try everything, but it just comes back, I don't want that ugly thing on my desktop anymore, and I don't like using "hide icons" because if a program wacks out, then they reappear all messed up.

Install Tweakui, you can get rig of all icon on your desktop.
use tweakui to remove it from the desktop. 
Or right click the desktop and uncheck the 'show desktop icons' option. Of course this gets rid of all your icons, but that's a good thing
