hey, i just got a free account form bizhat. it has a ftp manager. when i upload my pages with graphics and stuff onto the manager and go to the sites address. no pictures show up! do i need to use a real ftp manager such as smart ftp? how can i make a nice homepage for my forums? Oh, and what is FTP all about, isn't it just uploading sites youve made? if so, how come no pictures come up?

Ergo, an FTP manager would be a tool to manage FTP packets within a network, not transfer files. Your host provides an FTP server into which you can log in using an FTP client. Assuming, of course, they haven't bull****ted you and it's not really FTP, and is using something like WebDAV to provide uploads, for example.
Either way, you need to ask your host why it's not working, not Aqua Soft's members - they can probably tell you why your images aren't being uploaded correctly better than we can.
As for how you can "make a nice homepage for [your] forums", first, take some design classes, then learn XHTML and CSS2, then spend years honing your craft on a mountaintop wearing nothing but a loincloth. Only then can you make "nice" web pages. What sort of answer did you really expect to this question?
