[help]my Brand New Shiny Isub Dosn't Work!

ok, just got an isub, plugged it into my sony vaio. and windows xp did its thing. imedialtly reciginzed it as the harman/kardon isub. assigend a usb audio device driver to it. and it works. exept its the only thing working. my apple pro speakers hooked up to the normal audio port are dead. Aperatnly u can only have one audio device working at a time. meaning i can switch between the 2 of them. but how the heck to i get windows to use both of them at the same time... AHHHHHH! :rant:

and please so smart ass's saying well thats why its says only for mac my apple pro speakers work just fine thank you :6

so does anyone one know how to get a usb audio device and a normal device working at the same time.

i googled for about an hour with nothing, and about ready to cry :cry:

Odd though, I've never heard of that problem - a friend of mine has Apple Pro speakers and one of those iSubs and it seems to work fine.. Hope you get it sorted.

Have you tried searching for updated/new/other drivers?

and i just found out that returning it at the website i got it is a pain in the butt.

edit: i have no idea were to get updated drivers :cry: i can lisen to just the isub. and it sounds so wonderfull, and bassy. i just cant select it AND my speakers...ITS NOT FAIR!

there have to be members here who use the isub on there pc's, i cant be the only person to have thought of useing them. SOME ONE HELP ME!!!!!

i know i know double post. but this kind of info diserves it!

i just called the place were i got my isub, and told them i wanted to return it because it was incopadible with my computer. and she said it wasn't cost effect to ship it back to them cuase it was opend up. so there just putting the money back in my creadit card, and i ge to keep it.......

again. I GET 40 BUCKS BACK(THE PRICE OF THE ISUB) AND I GET TO KEEP IT.....

tell me thats not the funniest thing u guys have ever herd.

id still like to know if anyone knows how to use this thing on a pc. otherwise im just gonna go to best buy and buy a sub.

but i have a pritty paperwait out of the deal

Hey grimmy. Forget about the drivers and all that. GO to some store that sells

audio equipment and get yourself one of those little headphone plugs that

split the signal down two lines. Then just hook up the apple speakers to one

side and the iSub to the other side. It should cose you about 1$ so it's

not much of an expense

Hope this helps. If not just cut the wires

and hook them up at the same time

the isub uses usb. my apple pro speakers use the mini jack. i dont think an adapter can help. or cut and splicing. a sub should only be getting low range information. anything else could damit it.

i think i might just sell the isub and my apple pro speakers to my oldder brother, he has a g4 and he could sertainly use them. its a shame though. that no one knows of how to solve this problem....

already given up, its sitting in the box i got it. and i bough some nice speakers at walmart, that are also clear like the isub, and it came with sound sticks. that look like the one that comes with the isub. so it all worked out. expet that i have an isub and apple pro speakers sitting in boxes on my floor right now. haha
