[release] Tiger Stickies (sort Of)

There's a popular program called Stickies, and I changed a few settings so it would look similar to the sticky notes in Tiger's Dashboard feature. Here's a preview:

StickiesPreview.jpg

As you can see, the notes must be rectangular, but they use the Tiger colors and font. If you have WindowFX, you can use AddShadow to give each note a soft shadow (make sure AddShadow.ini contains "Caption=ASticky").

STEP 1: Download and install Stickies from HERE.

STEP 2: Right click HERE and choose "Save Target As..."

STEP 3: Copy the font from the zip file to your Windows\Fonts folder.

STEP 4: Make sure Stickies is not running. Copy "stickies.ini" from the zip file to Documents and Settings\Your Username\Application Data\stickies, overwriting the old one.

STEP 5: Copy "BlankSticky.bmp" from the zip file to any location you want. This blank skin hides the "Always On Top" and "Close Note" buttons that normally appear on each sticky. (Since the skin is blank, you will have to remember that double clicking the upper left corner makes the note Always On Top, and clicking the upper right corner closes the note--tooltips appear to remind you. You can choose "Restore Closed Stickies" in the system tray menu if you close one by accident. Drag notes around using the middle area at the top of each sticky, and right click that top area for more options.)

STEP 6: Copy "stickies.exe" from the zip file to Program Files\Stickies if you want to use my icon (you must be using version 4.5b).

STEP 7: Launch Stickies and right click on the system tray icon. Choose "Styles..." and change the skin to the BlankSticky.bmp file.

If someone has (and is allowed to distribute) the system tray icon from xStickies, kindly post it below. It would be even better if you reshacked stickies.exe and posted that. xStickies is available to members of TheRealDuckie.

To get a sticky note that looks just like the real thing, check out what my fellow Oxygen Network developer Ken is working on HERE. The only downside is that you are limited to one sticky.

Finally, I don't want to forget to thank amnesia for hosting this! :D

EDIT: Fixed the reshacked exe crashing if you double click the system tray icon (thanks, bluebyt). Please re-download if you're using the included exe.

Cool ! :D I was wondering, since you cannot make the stickie

thicker at the bottom, could you make it thinner as it goes up ?

If one could do it in PNG you could also add a shadow that

wouldn't need people to have WinFX :) Verry nice as it is thought :)

Thank you VERY much, I needed this font! :D

@ifido, this program cannot use graphics. You will have to wait for AndreasV to finish whatever he's working on. I wonder what it could be? :dunno:

@deadzombie, I just Googled "marker felt" and came up with THIS. I hope it helps you out with that upcoming mystery app.

(BTW, the reshacked exe crashes if you double click the system tray icon. I fixed it and re-uploaded the file.)
