[help]itunes Keeps Stuttering

Evenin' all. I've got iTunes open and playing music, but whenever I do something even vaguely CPU-intensive (say, loading a large web-page or something simple like that) iTunes starts stuttering, and only stops when that task is finished. Is there any way to stop this happening, as it's becoming incredibly annoying >.

See if this helps, it really should work:

1. open quicktime

2. go to preferences

3. go to sound output

4. change direct sound to waveout
