[help] Sysstats 2.0.3 Problem

I just saw the cool MailNotifier for SysStats and wanted to try it out. I downloaded the latest versions of ObjectDock (1.02) and SysStats (2.0.3?) and followed the installation instructions.

The problem is that after I use the load menu command to setup a SysStats icon almost nothing happens. Only the icon label is set correctly. All other settings are ignored, including how the meter is set up and which images to use. It is the same with the configuration that are bundled with in the SysStats zip.

Somebody in here got an idea to what I do wrong? Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

Did you quit objectdock before you unzipped SysStats? If not, quit it, unzip SysStats again and try again.

I have been in and out of ObjectDock many times without that having any effect. After trying to use the Load function, I set up the MailNotifier manually (configuring all settings by hand) and it works fine. But when I then exit ObjectDock and reopen it all the previous changes are lost leaving me with the standard SysStats question mark in the dock.

Same here - and the same happens with other configs as well as with SysStats under AveDesk.

(should W2k be the problem?)

I also run Windows 2000 SP4 and have tried ObjectDock and SysStats on another computer (running 2000 as well) with the same problem, so I can not rule out that the OS is the problem. But why it wouldn't work on 2000 doesn't make sense to me. The problem seems to be with reading a simple text file??

Hey Judge....

I've had this problem with Avedesk and Systats so decided to D/l objectDock and check it there and still the same problem so I'm guessing its not Ave or OD problem....

Every time I add a SysStats desklet all I get is the question mark icon. When I try to press "load..." and then load a secific desklet (like the mail checker, or the uptime, or any other one) it loads it but doesnt run anything. I get these characters like: %,0d and the label says "%.0d new emails".

At first I though this was a directory structure problem - but I've put Systats in every possible directory to find out and now also tried with the directory you wrote down in this thead.

I have no idea what it is.... I'm running WinXP Pro (no SP1....)
