Hi, does anyone have a samurize config which shows an analog clock in the taskbar rather than the standard digital one? If there isn't one around is there a simple way to build one of these?
Thanks,
Ian Keeler

You can display any Samurize config in the taskbar by using the taskbar client. Just grab an analog clock config from somewhere (or make yourself) and use that ![]()
If you're wanting to replace the actual taskbar clock itself, you can't do that (yet
). You could hide/disable it using the taskbar properties and use the Samurize taskbar client as above (but you wouldn't be able to put it in the lower-right where the Windows clock normally goes).
Cool, it's possible, now has anybody done it?

It's not too difficult if you are a little bit familiar with Samurize...
Grab some analog clock skins from samurize.com (use the search, search for analog clock) and one to a config by going Edit Graphics tab->Add DrawObject->Add Image. Then add in the analog clock hands using Edit Meters tab->Add Meter->Add Date/Time, change the Display Type to Analog, then under the source tab set the Format field to:
%h for hours
%m for minutes
%s for seconds
(You will need 3 Date/Time meters in total, one for each clock hand).
Finally you will have to set the maximum values for each meter (under the display tab) as follows:
Hours - Max 12
Minutes - Max 60
Seconds - Max 60
Save your config, then load it in the Samurize Taskbar Client (read the FAQs on Samurize.com if you don't know how to do this).
I prefer to encourage people to do it for themselves
Though someone else might post a ready-made config for you.
I know a guy that might make ya one :naughty:
wow, I've been so busy playing with other things that I forgot all about this... thanks Nem!
I'll prolly ask more questions once I start on this, but thanks alot!
bump!
Nope, but cool nonetheless, basically, what I wanted (and anymore, it's not that big of a deal) was the clock X systray icon to have working hands, but that probably wouldn't be as useful as the standard clock anyhow.
Thanks though, maybe when I have more time, in a month or so, I'll play with it just to see how that idea stated above works out...
Tropics just released his embedded taskbar client, it will modify the system tray clock as I did above....
Enjoy!
