[release] Objectdock Mac Os X 10.3 Theme

I make Mac OS X 10.3 Theme to ObjectDock because people want it. This theme is most accurate (Mac OS X) theme to ObjectDock. It is best that can get to ObjectDock but my MobyDock theme is more realistic than this. Also magnification effect is more realistic in MobyDock. But in ObjectDock has some options that beat MobyDock and it is more stable than MobyDock.

can you port for Y'z Dock, pls

I am using your MobyDock theme, but when MobyDock crashes I have to use ObjectDock. Now both of my Docks will look similar. :) Thank you for the excellent themes! (I am also using your cursors.)

I have make ModyDock and ObjectDock themes. I have no plan to make Y'z Dock theme. Everyone can use my resources to make own port to Y'z Dock.

If someone want make port, look first MobyDock with my theme. That Background is 1:1 size. Only icons is 1 pixel too down than real. And Mac OS X running indicator you get from ObjectDock theme. Real Mac OS X running indicator is 1 pixel upper than in Objectdock theme. Text size is 11 in Mac OS X Dock.

Sorry to n0_0b out here ..i have just one question. In order to install this i just extract the contents to the object dock directory? Won't that overwrite previous saved themes i have. ....basically ...how do i install this thing? Thanks alot , i really appreciate the help!

#255089

If it is a file directory, you have to put it in your ObjectDock directory (back up original skin by same name if you want to keep it).

EDITED: Gave instructions for wrong application.

THIS WILL NOT OVERRIDE ANY GRAPHICS FILES

It merely gives you more options for everything... the original graphics will remain.

Thanks for the bump... I never saw this and it is quite worthwhile!

hi gnome thanks for speedy answer. Yes this is a .zip file that has a backgrounds folder, themes folder, mac osx folder, a running indicators folder, several .ini's ( settings, background etc) and some png and txt files. Given that it did not come with installation instructions i assume i just extract to the directory. However, i'm hesistant to do so because i don't want to lose my current theme and such.

Apparently those .ini's are replacing the .ini's that already exist in the folder. So i'm thinking that this replaces objectdock for good - in essense a modded objectdock that gives you the realistic macosx dock! While i definitely want it i don't want to lose the ability to change theme , etc.

i may be overthinking this one of course lol

but any explanation would be nice. thanks alot guys.

I'm new to the modding world and have learned alot so far. I haven't had to ask for help up until now. I'v figured out all sorts of stuff and this seemingly simple task has me stumped! ...

#255096

i see....... well ill definitely try it out ..thanks alot gnome!!!!! I deeply appreciate it!

@Aworldapart: please read our Board Rules. You'll learn from them that bumping old threads and double posting is frowned upon here.

#255150

How did you miss the eye-poking red THANK YOU button?

Don't bump threads with stupid posts like that

#277233

why not just PM me with something like that. you go hardcore on everyone.

you're just bumping this thread too.

...not to mention in a forum that gets a post every 5 years.

#278974

He goes hardcore on everyone because he's a moderator; it's his job. Any issues with HIM should be taken up via PM, not the other way around.

I just say treat others how you would like to be treated. PM's seem more professional and discrete, and I just view it as hipocritical in situations to reprimand someone for something that the speaker is not even following.

There is no need to call names or give critical/demeaning words, just stick with the rules if rule enforcing is what his job is.

I don't think calling posts "stupid" etc. contributes to a comfortable atmosphere here, or anywhere else public for that matter.

Courtesy is for everyone, and especially for those in high positions, there should be precidents and actions set for those to follow and look up to.

It would also help if that 'thank' feature was in that announcement on board rules (like, how to actually use it)... I am still unaware/oblivious of this "thank you" button. Is this java/javascript? I see in the source:

But nothing is on my page obviously.

reedit: ok i see it in other posts, but there is none for this post now.

The Link is moved ? cause i can't download it.

Thanks

#470662

Please don't bump old threads, it's annoying.

It's gone because it's so old. If you look around I'm sure you could find a suitable dock background. It has stayued pretty much the same up untill leopard. Just do a little searching and less bumping =P we're happy to help you but we're much more happy if you've done some searching first.

#470671

Bumping is also frowned upon. Use common sense. A three year old link most likely will not work.

Try searching for OSX or Mac at one of the following links:
