Just got a ibook trying the "switch" thing but really miss the start pannel. to access programs and such, is there some thing for Mac. to do this?
A Windows Type Start Pannel For Osx
what feature are you missing? The shortcuts? Use the dock. It will look prettier too. The recent apps? Its under the Apple Menu. Program Files? you can add a folder menu in the dock.
By the way, congrats on the iBook man! Hope you like it!
Just so used to the windows "way", and not sure how to do things yet. windows start gave access to all the stuff in one location. ie.:contol panel, my comp, programs ect.
dont be afraid. Just accept the difference. Pretty soon, it will become normal.
Heheh.. whenever I sit on my PC desktop now, I accidently press command Q (but since there is no command, its the Win key) whenever I want to quit a program instead of Alt+F4. It becomes pretty normal after a while..
By the way, you can access the control panel from the apple menu and My comp and Apps from the Go menu.
thanks, just experianing growing pains, in the learning curve ![]()
