[release] Gant 2 Ocean Shell Pack

Boy this took long....

The files were done in a few days, It was getting the batch script (to get the whole pack installed at the click of a button) to work which took alot of time in the beggining and was never completely successful. Luckily then I found this Installer which did the work for me and came out better in many ways.

The script for the installer too did take time to make as I didnt know how to go about it and to get it successfully compiled due to mistakes in it and also coz i wanted extra features added into it, like music n stuff which i knew were possible.

My site too took me more than a week to make. Today when i uploaded it, the text n stuff would show all jumbled up, for which I have no idea as it was the way i wanted it in frontpage. To get it looking proper online, I had to jumble it up in frontpage n keep uploading and checking to see to get it all perfect. I am also very happy with it as it looks amazing now

Ive added a few extra files to the pack like Adobe Gamma, Icon packagerand Quicktime CPL's

You will have a completely safe and smooth install process. The installer creates a restore point inspite the original files being backed up and also rebuilds icon cache for you. It also loads the wallpaper and VS included in the pack. You will also be listening to music throughout the installer Damn.. I love my installer

It allows you to choose from which types of files you want it to install (dl,cpl,exe) and from which apps you would like skinned, (Msn Messenger, Flash FXP, Win rar, etc) which of the Extras, (Screensaver, Logon, VS, etc) you would like installed and which Misc Cpl files (Adobe Gamma, Icon packager, Quicktime) you would like replaced if you have them.

Im sure you'll enjoy this pack as its been done very nicely with a lot of hard work and is the biggest pack ever Do post comments too on my site, I really love seeing comments posted on my site and please contribute by clicking on the ads which are right at the bottom of the page below the submit button

it is a direct port however devil did different work on his installer and so on and he may have also gone through a edited the resources to make then only sizes needed. eg there is a key icon that you never see bigger then about 32 and tis in there at 256.

but i dont know.. i used my one i made with the help of guireplacer and got it down 2 11mb

but yes it is a port with work done on it by devil

I havent removed any files, infact I added a few more files to the pack

The reason why the pack is 39.1 MB is coz we both used different installers and I was able to compress much more with mine

You can extract the files using the "Extract files only" Install type at the components page of the installer

and yes the original creator of Gant 2 Ocean is Jermoebzh

The Gant 2 Shell Pack 1.2 is an old shell pack of mine. Its quite smaller compared to Gant 2 Ocean. You cud say its a mini Gant 2 Ocean
