[link] Gfxenhanced Google

What do you think about this? It's been an ongoing project, I've been redesigning a couple times, and I decided to make it look like Royale now, so give it a look. It works just like Google, it just looks differently. I mainly did this for myself, because Google is simple as it is meant to be, but I think too plain. So I have been "dressing" it up a bit. Tell me what you think!

GFXEnhanced Google

Oh, and "About GFXEnhanced Google" doesn't work, I haven't got that page up yet. ;)

#185588

looks nice :D

I liked the previous one better, though...

Make sure, Google sees it, who knows, they might want to hire you! :o

#185593

Lol good , i like your old version too , maybe a mix .... i like the google text effect

And this is the better 404 page i ever seen.

A web server life is facinating

#185658

That is the best 404 message yet! Sounds a little like marvin the paranoid android. Also, how do you make the glossiness in the titlebar like that? If you could share or point in the direction of some resources I'd be grateful.

@Dream_Team, Ludge:

See www.louiemantia.com, the theme I used, as you mentioned glossiness, is called Royale by Microsoft. I explained what happened on my site. And about the 404, I remembered I found that somewhere but I really don't remember where. I liked it too. ^_^ Hope the guy don't mind, I don't remember whose it was. :blink:

@magbi9, Seph:

Yeah, I miss the colored balls at the bottom of the screen. I might put them, a smaller version, beneath the search, maybe right before the copyright Google stuff. And yea, Google hiring me would be awesome!

I can't work there :( . I haven't gone to college to get my BA/BS :( . I can't work there as a Visual Designer. Plus, it's in California, and I don't think I'm moving anytime soon. :(

Lou, for someone who stresses about artists rights, what would make you think it is alright to steal that 404 page?

Nice job by-the-way.

#185807

@Josh:

I found 225 pages on Google that contain "This document is totally fake."

Here it is. I don't think the guy I got it from is the only one. ;) That's why. :)

@TheBigB:

Royale isn't actually hard to find. All you need to do is search Google. LOL

Thats pretty cool Lou, you should make it open source so everyone can make something like it. (I am assuming there is more to it then just the source of that page)
