OK i wrote a simple little app to eject your first CD drive and then close it.
I dont know much in VB. I need some help to make it skinable, well to have it load the picture i use for the app bkg from file.
if someone can host it for me please email me and i'll send it to you if you dont already have it

cool good to have feed back. I wrote after using a app forgot it's name its something like 3rvol you can use it to raise and lowr the volume.
Anyone know of a way to program this app to, say like the "wake up" key on a standard keyboard? I never use that dumb key.

go on www.girder.nl and download grider it's a program that you can use to control your pc with an IR remote your pc's KB and many other hardware.
It's not to simple to use but it's really cool when you get the hang of it.

great app.. but one has to ask the question why.. i mean honestly you have to reach over to put something in the drive or take it out anyway.. why not just press the ONE button..lol

i know we are getting lazy, it's not my first app to close the tray i usualy eject it by right clikcinhg on it and i hate the fact that i cant close it the same whay,
using my app i can do both. even if it takes a few seconds more then just reaching to the butoon on the drive, well i rather use the app....

As for a reason to use an app like this: Drive Stealth, If you stealth your drive you can use this to eject your drive =). This is the reason I wrote my small vbs back when I had my Stealth

Iam liking the app cant wait for the next release.
I'm working on another version but this time it also rases and lowers the volume.
But are'nt you guys noticing some slow downs when the app launches ?
when i have itunes running and i launche eject, some times itunse starts rambling the song....

Dont use iTunes much anymore Iam a winamp kinda guy and didnt notice any problems with that.
Hi... the app is simple and it works ok with no problem at all.. however I think it will be better if instead a "big" eject icon in the meddle of the screen is possible to make it small and in some part that doesn't really take you away from all the other things that you are doing... 
... it maybe better if you put the icon in a corner or something like that ...

i'll give it a try, where is it on a mac ? isn't it a little lower in the center ?
