[help] Imac Hardware Supplier

My mates iMac has just blown up - its one of the mark2 slot loading ones - He's looking to buy a new machine, but I'm sure that its just a new motherboard required.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good UK stockist of Apple hardware, so I can see if its worth buying a new motherboard or just throwing it in the bin......

[edit] gah! whats this doing in General? I swear I posted it in Apple Hardware >.< ..... tsk

Yes you can change the HDD, there should be a pdf file on it in the apple support section. I'm pretty sure the G3 iMacs don't use SODIMM ram, because thats for notebooks, I think they use bog standard SDRAM. Bung a 512 stick in there and you'll give the machine a new lease of life!
