[help] Weird "unavailable" Pearpc Boot Logo

Have any of you ever had this logo come up while booting pearpc? and if so how the F did you resolve the issue?

It's coming up when I boot up from a DVD ISO to install the operating system. As far as I've been able to tell the DVD image is ok, but this just doesn't seem to go anywhere.

anybody? anybody? Bueller? Bueller?

This usually happens when it cannot read the iso image file.

btw... love your sig. Had to copy and paste it into notepad to actualy read it.

The weird thing is that I can read the iso perfectly using MacDrive. And if I boot into panther it is also readable. As can be seen here. Guess It's just not compatible with pearpc yet :cry:

I know what you mean... some of my Mac iso's, that I know are good, don't work either.

But that was the exact error screen I got before I converted my Panther disc iso into an ISO-9660 format.

I don't think PearPC has the ability took run DVD disks or disk images at this time.

Simple, the last line reads "cannot find boot file" so I suggest you have a look at the PearPC documentation and your configuration file.

I guess it appears like that because the finder is behind the dock? It's the sucky resolution at which tiger started up... But as you can see

it's all good now

Uhhh, how do you get a legitimate copy of tiger? Infact (don't consider this as warez or any thing) I can't even find it on shareaza.

You can't "get" a legit copy of Tiger unless you were at the WWDC (ie; You're a Mac developer). I'm pretty sure it isn't available for developers online (from Apple) yet, but I presume it will be by Winter.

You have to have the top-notch super-expensive ADC account to get given pre-release software to test. The free one won't let you do that. I've seen tiger up for download in a couple of places. I'm surprised people are so desperate to get their hands on it really.

Too bad I don't have that kind of money. I'm sure there are a few places that have it up for grabs, but I found a "How to" guide on how to get tiger (again, don't consider this as warez or any thing).

try to boot from it I get this :
