yea i love my 240 also

as for the new 350z, i saw it at last year's auto show in NYC, but i cant make up my mind if i like it or not. its a different look, but looks even more different for the two ive actually seen on the road. i dunno, i just dont know.

yes, its cheap for what you get (about another 135 hp over my 240sx), but im 18 (almost 19) and in college, and a 350z (or almost any new car) is not feasible because of cost and insurance (yea, go new jersey on having the second or third highest rates)

but i would love to have an Audi TT

You are right Duckie, but the SUVs you see don't belong to that kid but to his Dad or Mom. Since most "Japanese" cars are made in the U.S. they support local terrorist which may be better than foreign terrorist (...I think..or not), besides they also provide local jobs and are better for the environment because they last longer than the crapmobiles coming out of Deeetroit. I think Dr. Dre drives a pink Mercedes Benz with the star around his neck.

I had 2 VWs - one a Baja Dune Buggie (don't see those anymore) with an external open motor and a cage. I also had a GTI similar to the one posted above, until one time I parked it outside the University in a residential street, then when I came back from class in the late afternoon I saw my car about 30 feet forward from where I parked it. Half of the back of the car was 30 inches forward. I sold it as junk and collected the insurance and went on a European tour with the money.

I also had a 280Z Nissan, one of the best turbocharged engines. It had a Japanese human voice which warn you of lights on, low fuel etc. We use to call her Tokyo Rose. Ha, ha , ha

If you look closely, I was kidding about the terrorism thing, however, I stand by my disgust for them.

As for lasting longer than most cars, there's a reason for that. And it's an ironic one, at that. People don't use their SUV's for the reason they are built. To go offroad. They baby the damn things.

Oh no, they might get a scratch! The Horror!!!

Oh, and yeah, I used to build Baja's in California. I have owned 4 Bugs, 2 of which were Super Beetles. I also used to own a 1963 VW CamperVan.

well, i doubt i would be getting an Audi TT anytime this decade, but i still love to see them on the road

i sat in one at the auto show in NYC last april, and i loved it, i wish i could take one for a test drive, but the people at the dealership would probably look at me and laugh :angry:

The cool thing is you can get 'em pretty cheap in France. From where I live (Holland) it's maybe 8 hours to Paris,

so this summer I am going on a quest for la ultimate automobile!

also, in al local culture-center in my neihGbourhood is a guy who works on Citroens exclusively, He has all sorts of

contacts all over the world and can get parts really cheap. So...let te customizing begin !

I drive a 2.5 litre (alloyed : ) )Omega. It's a great car, the only thing I hate about it is that it's automatic.

I will hopefully be buying an Alfa Romeo 3.0L Spider in 2005 though.

What most people do not realise is that a real sports car, is not about a large engine displacement, i.e. 5L or 8L (american style). A real sports car IMO is about a small engine displacement coupled to turbocharge (not supercharge) and an engine with LARGE bore but a small STROKE, like a Formula 1 or Indycar racer.

American sports cars (viper, etc) tend to have a huge engine (5L) coupled to a large STROKE but a small BORE (like a harley davidson) so there's heaps of torque, yet no acceleration.

My dream car has a small bore x large stroke (like a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-7R).

It is only a 2.9L (very important) but coupled to 2 turbos (twin turbo), so from:

0-4000 rpm it accelerates on a par with a standard Porsche 911 (not 911 Turbo), but at 4000 rpm,

BOTH turbo's kick in at THE SAME TIME, sending you into hyperdrive. The boost is phenomenal, ...

The later models 50, 60 did away with the turbos and went with large displacement, heated seats, electric windows, etc all the pussy stuff. Needless to say they weren't as fun to drive anymore.

No traction control, no electric windows, no heated seats, no Active Suspension, no stability system, and no ABS.

Drive it if you dare.
