Quiktime Release Number Two

Hey there some great feedback thanks so much!

Based on this ive made version 1.0.2 with some cool new features that have come from your direct input, not all of it has been put it but two main features; a new menu and a compact mode.

Now Im gonna answer soem questions:

4. The mouseover for the play button is a bit off. The button moves to the right. I'm not sure, but I think the button is just supposed to change colors.

Yep your right, silly mis judged by me, fixed in new version.

I dont know what the PL button is and I have never seen it.

Um this is kinda randomn yeh, I couldnt remember what really filled this space when I made the skin, will be fixed in next version.

You were saying that the lack of the shadow was beyond your control. I would appreciate it if you would research the matter a bit more.

Ya, I agree with Goku. I think shadows would be nice. I was thinking. Why can't shadows be written into all of these applications, instead of trying to make them compatible with every shadow program out there.

The current Window engine I programmed doesnt support alpha blending/tansparency but I may be able to implement in a later version.

ok, it looks cool, but how do I get it to play a movie? It does nothing on my machine. I can browse for files, but not play them. Seems weird...

Hmm first il state the obvious, dont forget to press open while a file is selected, secondly, it wont play all kinds of video but it should play mpgs successfully.

I must say, you are a f**king good programmer! I only do some actionscripting, this is pretty hardcore I guess.

Even Better! Still a couple little annoyances (no pause/replay, etc.), but other than that, going great! I know someone already commented on this, but to create a program like this that literally takes up less than a meg is amazing. You must be a VERY tight programmer! Keep it up, I love what I see!

Def. better. Although there are still some very apparent eye sores. There is still a black border around the video being played. And, I dont think the play button has a mouse over effect. And I dont think it changed to that color either.

But, nevertheless, it still looks a whole lot better than the Windows version!!

Lovely Quicktime style app, you made alilim, the icon is awesome-it's great as a easy to use picture viewer-so unlike the real one-you do not have to use two separate programs for viewing a image and videos. Great work!

In the next version I should be able to get the full screen working correctly.

I am introducing skinning abilities in the next full version! I dont know why you want an installer though? What does that add to the program? I will put in some documentation and maybe an about box.

Yeh this is what I thought. I think on the whole installer programs are pointless and complicate things.

is it possible to skin these with png files?? they are so much better with round edges, this i believe is the overall advangate that mac has over pc. everything is so smooth and clean cuz everything supports transparencies not like these god damn bmps!
