[release] Rimmer's Iconstructor

This little app (well, not so little as I would like it to be ) will help you create your own icons, especially for certain documents and folders. This is not a drawing app - instead you construct icon from base and overlay images. The whole process takes a few seconds! This allows to easily create document type icons and special folder icons of your own look (but I hope this is not the only use of iConstructor).

Can' see image? Then watch this!

Known problems:

- GDI+ dependent (Works under XP/2k3, for other Windows please download redistributable from Microsoft)

- non-skinnable (Need ya? It uses visual style instead)

- ICO format not supported (I hoped GDI+ allows work with 32-bit ICO images, but it doesn't ). Use AveIcon to convert output PNGs.

You might want to consider using a double-buffered drawing technique for the preview of the output, it flickers really heavy when modifying parameters.

Nice app, especially for folder and mail icons!

When I saw it in the news section ("Rimmer's iConstructor") I thought it was something totally different

Can Combine Icons does practically the same job (on a Mac, though).

You could get a few ideas from there, too.

Yea, if anyone knows how to distort the image, so it looks like it is printed on the front of the folder (like this), that would be simply amazing!

OK, here's my own OFFICIAL logo for iConstructor (I've spent all this day to draw it). Take it if you need. Further iC versions will be shipped with it. Enjoy.

And good news for thy: I found a way to rotate and skew images, so R's iC2 will be much more flexible.

iC2 is almost there! Only text rendering part is not done yet, others are ready.

Precise subpixel skewing and rotating work perfectly.
