New Harddrive

Hi guys, I just got a new harddrive today, brand new 160 gig! I've got a problem though - I don't know how to format it for Windows. Apparently Windows sees it in the Device Manager and isn't reporting a problem, BUT I'm not sure how to create a volume on it. I'm gonna try partion magic, hopefully that'll work. Anyone know of any built in Windows programs to make a volume on an unformatted disc?

PS - the HD shows up in Device Manager and in the BIOS, but not in My Computer...

it's simple, and you don't need another program.

if it's a secondary drive (and it sounds like it is), just go to run > diskmgmt.msc, right click the drive and select format. that's it!

start>controll panel>administrative tools>computer managment >> click on disk managment >> find the drive that doesnt have partitions on it >> right click and choose format. :jerkoff:
