Forum Based Galleries

Forum based galleries SUCK. What ever happened to standard user galleries with a comment section? Don't get me wrong, I love A.S. but this trend of using forums for displaying graphical content is horribly inadequate. Off-site linking, confusing BB code. The html/graphic insertion capabilites of these forums was an after-thought. It's clearly not the most efficient method of displaying your art.

The gallery is meant to be separate from the board, but together.

There aren't that many options, especially for gallery software.

And for topic pertaining to the board itself, there's a Comments and Suggestions forum ;) .

i like it. that way you can comment on the screenshots...like "what is the thing you are using to display that analog clock?" or "where did you get that rainlendar skin?" i actually like it.

i do have a question though...la french connection people...how do you integrate the "not work safe" thumbnail to link to your screenshots? i actually need that...thanks

1. Make a small image that says "NSFW"

2. Upload it somewhere

3. Make that your thumbnail when you post your seceenshot

4. PROFIT!!

And did you know we already have a gallery (with comments), Mr. Meat? http://www.aqua-soft.org/gallery/
