I went to inter-faith camp once. I was sadistically beaten by people of all races and creeds.

What exacly is 'Computer camp' only time I have ever heard of such a thing was when watching the movie 'Revenge of the nerds' or against can remember.
It has about the same effect on an individual's social labeling as "Band Camp"
That might've been true until "American Pie" was releasedOriginally posted by dav@Jun 22 2004, 10:04 PMIt has about the same effect on an individual's social labeling as "Band Camp"
"And this one time at band camp..."
I've never heard of a computer camp... tho the closest thing that I can think that's similar is the giant LAN parties held in major Australian cities that go over 3 days... that's kinda like camp, you bring a sleeping bag and computer along with you, but no I've not been to one of those either heh
Sadly, I have been to one... geez, it was a long time ago, had forgotten about it until now. It largely sucked, from what I remember, but I was young and interested in computers and my parents thought they'd do something nice for me.

What do you do at a computer camp?

What, getting you out of the house for two weeks??
Here in the UK we don't seem to have 'camps' we just have to amuse our selves during holidays.
^ And that's the best way, at least you can choose who you can be with, and not be stuck at a camp and get told what to do
Fortunately we don't have anything like this in Finland
Not that anybody would go but still.

Let's see if I can remember... I do recall them showing us how to use the net, and showing us good sites to go to.. we played games.... uhhh.. that's all I can really remember.
@Viper, I don't really think it was two weeks.. maybe one at most. Damn that was a long time ago though, and the event didn't really stick out in my mind, so I'm having trouble rembering details about it. ![]()
-=edit=- oh, yeah, and we did regular camp stuff too, outdoorsy stuff and whatnot. It's not totally computers, just like any other "themed" camp isn't entirely that theme -=/edit=-
I've never been to one myself. Hell, I don't even know what one is - it like a LAN party but it goes on for several days or something?

No, (I guess) it's like a camp...except you do (learn) programming/robotics/PS/etc :canadian:
Ah, that explain everything. Cheers Keith ![]()
