[help] Replacing Individual Icons

Hi. I'm looking for a program that will let me replace individual icons. The last time I used IconPackager, it replaced too many icons and messed everything up. For example, I only want to replace My Computer with this icon, then Recycle Bin with this other icon, etc. Is there a program that has a flexibility to allow this?

Um, I have IconWorkshop, if that's any help - I just can't figure out how to change the current Windows icons from there...

Thanks.

For that sort of thing I use Tune up utilities 2004. I don't know if there is a better program for that, but it does the job.

If you just want to do My Computer, My Documents, Network Places and Recycle Bin, you can do it through Display Properties.

Microangelo is good for easily changing filetypes icons (not free)

For folders, you can choose between pantoni's Customize Folder or my Change Folder Icons.

Good luck!

Well, there's a possibility I'd want to change every single icon on my system eventually, but not all the same style. Maybe change a .nrg file, but not a .doc file, maybe some of the system icons, etc.

I'd rather not install Tune-Up Utils - seems to contain a lot more than what I need. But Microangelo might do the job.

iphile sucks. you cant change anything except what it says you can change. for example, i cant change the D: drive icon (my cd)

Mmm, I doesn't iphile only work with its own icon-type? Or was I misinformed somehow?

ChangeIcon is pretty useful, and easy to work with too. Not everything can changed, but many things can.

edit: I just found the app for changing folder icons by Ken: Folder Wizard

edit2: dang, I need to pay mor attention to new developments. Pantoni came up with a similar app called url=http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/index.php?showtopic=17409]Customize Folder

thanksdude, im downloading changeicon right away. i sure hope it lets me change that darn D: drive icon. then i'll be happy. and when you say it cant change everything..hmm....we need IconBook instead of FontBook.
