Aquavolume Bug Report

Im having this problem with AquaVolume App.

I have tracked 2 errors, and of an additional 1 im not sure about it.

The first one is that when ever I press the "´" key, the one before a vocal so that it adds the "accent" (á, é, í, ó, ú) It crashes, i get an "Runtime error -5: Invalid Procedure Call or argument". I have spanish setting in the keyboard, and my keyboard is in english physically.

The second is that sometimes when I press some of the keys I mapped, without pressing the key i selected (windows key) the window pops up and it change my volume, I have assigned Windows key + del, home, end, pd, and insert.

The third and doubtfull error, is that sometimes it leds to system inestability, sometimes my computer frezees of nothing while running it, but im not very sure about it, I need to run a control to determine if it freezes my computer.

I dont know if anyone has similar problems

Yeah,ive had to stop using Aquavolume because my system (P4 2GHz, 256MB RDRAM, GF4MX) freezes for no reason frequently. I dont get it, it doesnt use too much RAM, but it just causes random freezes, I havent had any of your other problems.

Thats werid. I hope that doesnt happen with me. I just got a nice Apple Pro mouse and keyboard.

lately I havent got any freezes, but since I have lots of homework, and While Im typing spanish text works it crashes, then Im unable to determine if it freezes my computer.

At first I thought it was my modded version of Phoenix to be like safari after adding all those files, but lately that I have not AquaVolume running, It hasnt crashed as it did when I used AquaVolume all the time my computer was working.

hope theres a fix soon, I do need an application to manage my sound with my keyboard.

Yea I'm having that freezing error too. Happens most in Kazaa Lite I notice...when playing with Kazaa's own volume control...also noticed Aquavolume wont work if Im in a game (dont know if you have intended it to yet) for instance Unreal Tournament 2003

Sorry for being a complete ****ie...but I just got AquaApps working, had to dl MSWINSCK.OCX and MSCOMCTL.OCX but when I run AquaVolume I see the icon in the taskbar, but it does nothing. I can't click it and when I right click it the icon disappears.

try double clicking, to popup the configuration window, for you to map the keys.

I have finally recieved my Pro mouse and keyboard and boy are they nice! I immediately tested it out with you AquaVolume app. Everything works great, except for the eject button. It fails to comply. Nothing happens when I press the button basically. I have set the option of having a pro mouse and keyboard already.

Also the fade out seems a little on the fast side. Infact it is very fast. Just letting you know in case you do decide to release another build. The fade out should be much slower.

Also the volume keys work but they are slow boggy. Also the beep sound when the volume is adjusted is no longer present with the pro keyboard.

Great app jef. Hope you can get out a last build! ;)

AquaVolume doesn't work *at all* for me. yes, i have AquaControls installed. the old build worked, too. it's just odd. when i hit win+whatever, nothing happens. also, my system goes very slowly when AV is running. the settings window works, however.

have you configured it correctly? try double clicking the tray icon, until the settings window appear. If it foesnt work, uninstall aqau controls, download the lastest, and install them.

When you double-click on the icon in the systray, what shows up as the settings for the volumn up/down keys?

I'm not sure what keyboard driver you are using, but for me, the eject button on the apple keyboard wasn't recognized at all by windows. I'm using a lowlevel keyboard hook to intercept the messages from the keyboard, and when I would press the eject button, there were no keystrokes generated of any kind.

I'm simply using the default driver windows loaded when I first plugged the thing in. I dont know what other drivers I could use. So what your saying is the eject button doesn't work, or should work?? Because for me right now it doesn't work.

Windows doesn't recognize my eject button either. At least I dont think it does. The problem is nothing happens when I press it with or without your application running.
