[help] I'm Making A Y'z Toolbar Theme

I'm making a Panther/Smoothstripe 4 theme, which has aqua sunken bottons, but I'm having a problem, I hope photoshop experts can help me.

Here's for example one of the the bottons in cold.png, please note that the botton edge has some transparency.

botton_pre.png

I copy the original image from cold.png and paste it on to the panther toolbar ground and it looks like this, note the edge color. This is what the toolbar should look like once applied the theme.

right_pre.png

But when I'm apply my finished Y'z Toolbar theme the edge is messed up.

wrong_pre.png

Does anyone know how to fix this problem if I want to keep the transparency? I can send my theme to you if you need to take a look and try it out.

Thanks.

Same thing happend to me with Danimators new skin he's making for his new system files. He asked me to help because he was having a simliar blur....to damned nad I wasn't able to fix it. He did though. All there was to do was to increase the canvas size by 1 pixel....I have no clue but that is what happend. anywho. I'll be glad to try to fix it for u. my e-mail is baby_papi_chulo@hotmail.com ;)

This is weird...I tested it with Longhorn Inspiriat (still love that theme!) and it's perfect...I will now test it with (err.....A Aqua style theme, u know witch, don't tell anyone.) >.<

tested it using the Panther skin and I know see that problem....It must be a conflict between the two. I even used XP's defualu skin and saw nothing worng... >.< this is wierd! I'll try making the sunken effect lighter. Then I'll post a screenie...

did you put a drop shadow on it? i dont know maybe that's the problem that you put a lot of shadow

Thats what I thought too. But when I recieved it and looked at them at 1600% zoom in PhotoShop I found out that the problem is that the border doesn't have enough transparency. (not a problem with other themes, but with Panther witch is what it's intended for) So while using the Panther Visual Style you'll see that the border of the toolbar buttons have a slight blur when their above the border of the Panther Stripes. So I made the border more transparent and it seemed fixed when I looked at it. :canadian:

I sent the file back to hime last night and he still didn't respond... >.<

I've almost tired of trying and I still can't find where the problem is. If I have no choice I'll have to make the borders solid colors without transparency. :(

My friends, do you have any ideas?

@babypapichulo: Thanks for the mod, I've tried it one, but the border still too dark and didn't get the original mac sunken feeling. (see pic 2) Any new fixes?

@AnubisX: What's the progress so far? Let me know if you need anything...
