I've been playing with the SysStats2.0 SDK and came up with a simple overlay just to get myself familiar with the SDK: CurrentScreen Overlay is an overlay that will generate an image of your screen. Next version will use DirectX, downloading the 200Meg directX SDK right now.

Not much to configure yet, default properties + width/height. Drop the file in the SysStats\plugins folder.

Well i finally spent some time to update the look of my comp..
updated SysStats to v2 and put this in to hopefully replace my My Computer Icon in Ave Desk(And it seems like i will)
and its working pretty good.. although its kinda hard to skew the images.. since you only get the option to rotate it..
Hope to see some updates in the future with more options to tweak the captured image..
but this is what i came up with..
Left is SysStats with Current Screen Overlay with the Time update set at 10secs with the Smooth Metal My Computer Icon
Right is the Current Screen Desklet.
its the best i can do for the time being..
