I just won this G3. It looks like I got a pretty sweet deal, but anyways...
How do I upgrade the RAM? Is it standard PC100 memory? I was looking on crucial's site and they wanted like $86 for 256MB

Also, on upgrading the processor, I found this. Is this my best/only deal for that type of upgrade?

Have a b/w 450mhz. Used standard pc100/133 memory from some left-overs i had around. Works flawlessly, but you might run into that one stick with problems written all over it.
DON'T skip and get cheap RAM. Macs are picky when it comes to RAM and depending on where you get it from they might turn around and say 'It's your own fault' and not give a refund. Even if they do it's delaying you getting a nice speedier machine.
Crucial may be a touch more expensive but not by much, PC100 is more expensive now because it's out of date. Buy from them and at least you get a compatibility guarantee as well as a lifetime warranty.
If you're going to get a new CPU, get a new graphics card too; Is that Rage 128 even able to use Quartz Extreme? Get it bumped up and you should see a noticeable increase on 'on screen' performance since QE lets your CPU to worry about the stuff that matters.
