Yeah...make a small working in background with an arrow, like the other sets. But make the ball spin quicker.

well, i second that. maybe it´ll be not 100% 1:1 (me donno exactly the mac thing right now) but would maybe make it more useable. but hey, anyway. this is fantasic work and i`m very thankfull.

Swirl or whatever icons are behaviour with my decided way like real Mac OS X. I dont look with those icons what that cursors name mean, only i want that look same and behaviour like Mac. Naw. All you need is AWicons and Photoshop. AWicons is just to create the animated cursor with the png's made in photoshop, since many cursor programs dont yet support alphablended cursors, at least not animated ones. I was relatively new to graphics at the time I made that set, so I agree some aspects are wrong, or that I didnt add enough of a framerate etc. I also had never used a mac at that time.

And to be quite honest, neither my cursor set nor am_tiainen's are 'perfect'

I tend to agree about the usability issues, sure we want replica's, but there really is no sense in prefering looks over usability. IMO of course

Also, how is the swirl "working in background"? Working in background means "I'm doing something, but you can still use me"...

Also other cursor is more like Real OS X.

Working in background and busy behavier different way, that i tell also in next post. In Mac it seems behave difference. I have capture some example with my camera.

Set "working in bg" cursor to "Normal Select" - and :woot: it will be looks like Mac :naughty:

I know, my either is "Perfect". But people and software come more advanced. Is good that like you have make icons and other stuff. I only make new because i have time to do it. Without me people dont use my cursors, they use yours. Without you maybe they use even worst cursors. It's only lucky to people that we are in here Aqua-Soft

My Unavailable.cur is not real size. Unavailable sign is reduce because windows dont support in basic Cursors bigger size than 32x32 (i might be wrong in this). Fix if i wrong. In copy and Unavailable cursors is in Mac 25x37. I try make that size but that dont work in windows.

What is programs what i use to make this icons. It is Mighty Mouse in Mac OS X and in windows AniTuner. Both use to transparent Black Mask. I take screenshot from Mighty Mouse and i crop and paste in AniTuner with Photoshop.

I have say that Mac that Cursors behave difference. I notice this point:

A ) If programs start and you DON'T move your cursors to anywhere, it make that new styling loading animation ans stop when programs is started. If you move that cursors, loading cursors disappear.

B ) If programs are small windows area and software start, new styling animations cursors change to default if you move cursor off from programs area and if you move cursors back to programs area, it turn back to new styling loading animations. So there is not any cursors what inform that programs loading but you can use cursors in other area.

C ) If programs is huge (like photoshop) and start it first time (next starting is much faster. It start every time fast before you shutdown Mac), you see that new styling and old styling loading about 50-50 all in that time when programs starting.

D ) In some programs that new styling loading cursors is always show, cursors dont change to default in any area, only in Dock area that change to default, so you have push with loading cursors if you want open some document in dekstop. But that of course dont take more than few seconds.

So if i wait that programs start without moving mouse, it show like in my cursors set. If you want make more usability, change working in background default cursors and to busy working in background cursor. In that way that look like real.

I myself not come any situaton where i have wait more than few seconds that working in backgrond cursors animations. And in working in background animations has mouse point in centre of cursors.

I also agree that is no sense in prefering looks over usability, but is this so unusability if that cursors see in few seconds and in that cursors has mouse point in centre of cursors?

i am having that problem with my cursors in xp. is it the cursors or is it me?

EDIT: i just installed xp on a laptop and these same cursors work fine when dragging. wtf?
