[request]an Mp3 Player That Has A Radio?

Hello!

I have some songs I bought on my pc from iTunes but I also like listening to internet radio. Is there an MP3 Player that has radio capacity (not necessarily internet radio)? Do yoiu know where I might be able to find one?

Thank You,

htmlishard

well for 1 i haven`t heard of any mp3 player that can u can listen net radio on

from what i know it would require wireless net, it'd suck extra bat etc, so i doubt that u`ll be able to find an mp3 player that does it.

u also can`t listen iTunes AACs on any other player other than iPod and iPod mini.

So u can either get an iPod and listen to ur iTunes' AACs on it (and enjoy the beauty and perfection of an iPod), or buy some other crap player with radio integrated but in that case u won`t be able to listen to ur bought AACs (uless u burn them and then re-rip them to mp3).

If you want normal FM radio, Griffin makes an add-on for the 3rd gen iPod to listen to the radio. But then again it is more money: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebO...nMore=T7194LL/A

i have to correct u on that one wiz.

iTrip is for turning iPod into a portable radio station, not into a radio receiver.

iTrip emits radio signals to any radio in the 6-9feet diameter.

But i do think Griffin has a radio receiver for iPod, unfortunally i`m too lazy to look for it :P

There are quite a bit of players with radio, but for the most part they're FM band only. Here's a list: cNet

Griffin did have such a device called the iFM although it got to the pre-order stage and was recently cancelled :(

iFM was canceled because it relied on the now discontinued iPod Wired Remote Control, which is no longer available separately from Apple. Griffin also said that producing the iFM for the new 3G iPods proved to be impossible due to technical changes in the new models.

Thank you. I just checked on froogle though and it appears to be more expensive than the iPod. If the iPod had FM raido I would consider to buy it, but if it had internet radio though..well...I would buy it on the spot at a resonable cost.

@htmlishard Internet Radio on the move would require some sort of portable Wi-Fi device and probably very costly and not very functional. Trust me get an iPod I got one and I cant live without it. I thought I only needeed a 10gb but I got a 20gb and now I need a 40gb because I just wanna stick everything on it! It really is all the music youll ever need and it dosnt half turn head in the streets :P

@Unbeliever gotta agree all mp3 players these days resemble the iPod and as soon as I saw that pic I thought what a rip-off, I guess you cant blame them Apple is absolutley destroying thier sales with the iPod but the menu system is identical the only difference is the battery is on the left. I can guarantee I wont be buying from that company again I like creative companies that try to beat them not rip everyone off!

@spngbb agreed its great! I used to have a gif to go with it (here) but I got so sick of all the ridiculously long sigs around here I thought Id do my bit :D

I've read that the iPod's interface is the best there is. So, it's very hard to improve on the very best. At least they're trying. If more players become less clumsy to use, maybe prices will go down.

The iPods interface maybe the best thier is but Apple worked hard for it! What was before the iPod? Just because somethings the best thier is dont mean people cant do better I mean lets face it we used to use command line machine GUIs have come along way and they are all stunning everytime but always beaten!

Basically all the Nomad players have it and the Dell DJ has that menu system. It's not a very clever system!

It's been priced for 269, 30 dollars less than the iPod of smaller storage, but then again all they have (Nomad: Creative) is a 20GB right now
