Aqua-Soft Forumsi know there arent many aussies here (if any) but ive been waiting for the iTunes music store for ages and i thought the euro launch would possibly mean australia too, but nothing has been announced yet, which really sucks, there arent enough quality music stores here. i wants itunes music store

Hey I didn't know there were any australians here, anyway, way off topic: my brother and I we want to go there for some months but we have no $ so I guess we'd have to work.
So what kind of jobs do you think we could get (we're 15-ish), we'd do anything, work in a farm, whatever

It really depends on which state you're heading over to... if its to SA (where I am) there's not that much in terms of jobs for 15 year olds, unless you want to stack shelves in supermarkets or work in a pizza shop heh

Cost of living is ok... I consider it resonable, probably on par with US?
McDonalds is a good measure of things isn't it, for AUD$5 - AUD$6 you can get a meal deal (I'm not sure tho, haven't had McD's in years) hehe
a large mac meal deal will cost you AU$5.95 from memory, and from the fact that i work just under a maccas in a shopping centre. so guess what i get if i need a quick bite.... yeah

It's the lodging I'm worried, are there any youth hostels and the like, and are they reasonably priced?

on the whole, the cost of living here is slightly higher that the US, mainly because we import a large number of things, and our damn dollar goes up and down faster than a yo yo. good example is software and games - driver 3 (when it's released) is US$49.95, thats AU$73.02. current exchange rate. but to buy the same game here will set you back AU$99.95, which is US$68.35. so for some things we get a little ripped off, even with our 10% gst.
though there is one advantage of coming over here, (beyond our almost complete lack of guns, nice weather, and....other stuff) and thats no tipping. thats right, you don't have to tip someone for taking you from the airport, or for carrying your bags, or for bringing your food... or just about anything. man the last time i tipped was... damn i can't remember. 
so come over, enjoy our country, except now - it's winter and the weather kinda sucks, and remember tipping is not compulsory.

ok, before i sleep, one more handy tip. koalas are nasy, grumpy little leaf munchin bastards. yes they're kinda cute, but they're all claws and anger. like a grumpy old guy that stands on the corner. just pick up a large cat that dosen't want to be held and you have a koala.....
i tried to think of some other native animals that were fun to hold, but most of them are filled with a large amount of venom or fangs.

I've been using the Windows version of iTunes (4.6) and I had to reformat my drive recently due to system file modding that went wrong, oh so wrong. Anyways, I was wondering if there was a way in which I could re-download all the songs that I had payed for in my account via iTunes...is there such a way? Or did I just loose all my music? I should have backed my drive up >.
the problems about ITMS not being launched in other coutries are the songs permissions ... cause in USA every song has a single permission, but in europe, for instance, there are several companies who have permissions over a single song ... and there aren't any records about, so Steve has to find every permission owner and negotiate ...

Huh? Anyone can import CDs to iTunes. It's a feature of iTunes regardless of location. Oh, and Canada got their ITMS on Dec 1st, by the way.
