[help] Changing Folder Icon

Hey Yall, i do have a brand new powerbook, im a new osx user, and i would like to know how do i change the icon of the folder on my desktop, very simple, but i cant find the way to do it

and secondly, i think i have lock the hdd setin so that i cant rename my hdd or change the color of it, someone know where to unlock this....

First, welcome to the club. i got my powerbook a couple of weeks ago.

For the icon, download the icon you want, and copy it to the clipboard. Then highlight the folder on the desktop and click File > Get Info... (Or hit command & I). Click on th folder icon in the top left of the window that appears. It will become outlined in blue. The click Edit > Paste (or command & V). The icon will change to whatever icon you had in the clipboard. To remove it, highlight the icon again, then press the delete key. It will return to the default folder icon.

Also, try downloading Candybar from panic.com. It's good for changing system icons.
