sept one thing. why cant i see the icons from the theme? i only get the default windows ones.
depends.. do you mean in the shortcut panel or in the browser panel? Shortcut you will have to change yourself... browser panel should be skinned but I dont think it is working quite right. Mine are changed in shell32.dll by me. Let me know how I can help 
The shortcut panel I've nailed. It's looking great. It's the browser panel that looks fugly. it's weird because the drive.ico works but the folder.ico doesnt? Even stranger is that the Control Panel icon is being taken from my iconpacker theme....
any ideas?

it could be that the folder.ico was made using aveicon... let me upload a replacement... give me a minute.

problem i'm having is.. all of my icons are being skinned, using either the drive.ico, folder.ico or my iconpackager files, except my dvd/cdrw/virtualcd drives. they are using some fugly icon i don't remember ever seeing before.. pretty sure it isn't the windows normal icon lol some kinda lil box drive thing w/ a tiny little cd over it.
nexplorer does not yet skin cdr dvdrw drives. Only hard drives and folders.

So any ideas why my folder.ico doesnt display?
is this the first time you have used nexplorer? Is there another version still on your computer? NExplorer may be reading from the wrong start up directory. Im not sure though. Did you try a different folder.ico yet?
nosir. I've been using it for a while. I uninstalled all previous versions before installing this one.
I've also tried changing the drive icon and that works successfully every time. Though, folder, just doesnt want to obey. I've used 3 different icons for folder and none worked. I even tried using the same icon that works for drive as folder, still no luck.

I talked to V about this problem, he released another one that gets rid of it, I had the same problem. Granted my drive icon is still messed up, I just put my own and it worked, the folders are ok now because of his new version

I just uninstalled the old the first 1.9 and installed his fixed 1.9. But after switching skins too much, I'm having the old problem again with the icons
