[help] Wtf? Where Did All My Icons Go?

Wierd problem: the icons for most of my applications have gone missing and have all been replaced by blank ones. I've tried doing a system restore to an earlier point, but o go. Some of my icons, like Defrag and Scheduled Tasks are still there, but almost everything else is blank. This includes non-system applicatons too like Adobe Photoshop, Nexplorer, etc.

Any ideas?

EDIT: the applications still run, but my Start Menu, Objectbar, and all the icons in their respective folders are fawked.

have you tried to repair the icon cache?

did you use iconpackager? i've seen this happen numerous times when ip is used.

I've tried rebuilding the icon cache with IconPackager as well as TweakUI. Neither worked. I've gone back to the windows defaults through IP and those don't work either. Going to try uninstalling flyakite's pack and seeing if restoring my old sysfiles works.

dreamz: yes, I'm using IP. I've restored all the stock XP icons, but that hasn't helped. I uninstalled flyakite 5.1 as well. Then:

I've repaired the icon cache using TweakUI, no go.

I've rebuilt the icon cache using IconPackager, no go.

I've deleted iconcache.db, no go.

I've run a repair installation of XP Pro SP1 and run Windows Update, no go.

I've tried assigning applications their icons from the .exe, no go.
