I was wondering if anyone here could point me in the direction of a good network setup. I'm looking for a setup that will allow 4-6 computers. I'm not really looking for wireless but if you know of one that doesnt really lose signal all that much let me know.

What switching/routing hardware do you currently have?
When you say setup, you mean IP address scheme, firewall, etc?
Or
NICs, router / 802.11G adaptors, WAP ?
I can heartily recommend linksys routers. I have a WRT54G+ and it's pretty good. Four ethernet plugs and wireless. Does a good job.
I personally would go grab Netgear stuff, but Linksys are ok too 
Model numbers escape me right now, but I have 3 computers connected via CAT5 to a Netgear NAT firewall router/switch that is connected to a Netgear WAP which I use with my Netgear 802.11G wireless card in my laptop...
Netgear, Netgear, Netgear... I should get paid to mention that so many times

Netgear then issued a fix for it
the fix? they changed the backdoor username to superman...
i use 3com gigabit router its a bit pricey but its very secure and u can definitely notice a speed difference between 10/100 mbps router

I can't believe that the fix was a change of username, but then again... I can't recall if a new firmware was released hmm
tomsnetworking has some good stuff too...definitely worth the time there
I recommend linksys... Best routers in my opinions... I have two, one of which is wireless G and works great with the laptop.
netgear is good...but their tech support blows. for 70 bux i got a wg514 802.11g router (wpa-psk security) and a 54g wireless card. do that
