[request] A Good Icon Set For Black Themes

I've tried Snow.E2 but I don't really like it with my windows setup. Could someone please suggest some icons for use on a Black theme.

Specific Icons I need:

• Samurize Tray Icon [black and White]

• Overnet Tray Icon [black and White]

• AVG Tray Icon [black and White]

• Windowblinds Tray Icon [black and White]

• MSN Icons (including Tray Icon [black and White])

• iTunes Tray Icon [black and White]

• Desktop 16x16 [black and White]

• Firefox/Safari 16x16 [black and White]

The rest is a normal theme that fits well on black and dark red backgrounds. I'd make these myself but I have absolutely no proficiency at small icons and have tried searching for those specific ones with no luck.

good luck with finding dark icons...when i was using shinobi that was the one major thing that was lacking...so i made a couple of icons of my own for shinobi.

for the firefox 16x16 and desktop 16x16 , i recommend The neon icons.

The problem with the neon ones is that they come as 128x128 pngs and don't look any good at 16x16.

JetBlack Icons are good, but I'm really looking for small icons for the tray, etc. I use whatever icons I like for the rest of the system. Although there are some I'm still stuck looking for which I why I was asking for suggestions on a theme.

Please, if people have the small Tray icons, I would really appreciate it. It doesn't have to be an entire matching set.

In the screenshot I'm using Objectbar purely cause at the time my Windowblinds theme still had a Luna taskbar :puke:

Acaeris, I can try making original pixel icons for the trayicons. However, if you've got icons in mind already, maybe I could just help you make them black and white.

The Sosumi Tray Icons are what I'm looking for but I need them for the applications I listed and cant find ones for those.

Here's a sampler of a few icons I just made. I don't know if they're up to par w/ the Sosumi icons, but I think they're okay.

From left to right, they are:

Overnet, WindowBlinds, AVG, Samurize2, Samurize1, iTunes, Safari, Firefox.

edit: If anyone likes these, I already have them as 16x16 icons (in 256color format).

edit2: Touched up iTunes, Firefox, and added MSN1 and MSN2.

Nice Mimeryme. Here is my attempt at making some although they are still in Photoshop as I don't have an icon converter.

I just did an msn icon, but it reminds me too much of an icon for Miranda's MSN protocol.

Hey Mimeryme, we should work on a compilation. I've just added more to mine as well.

Will be making Trillian and DaemonTools Icons in a minute (I prefer your firefox icon to mine btw).

I am now using the OSX Display icon for Windowblinds, works out better for me.

Well, So far we have:

2 Desktop Icons

5 iTunes Icons

3 Firefox Icons

1 Safari Icon

3 AVG Icons

2 Samurize Icons

2 MSN Icons (Mine didn't fit as 16x16, these would be your ones if we made a set).

1 Windowblinds Icon

3 Overnet Icons (I just made one myself)

2 Trillian Icons

As I said, I'm about to do a Daemon Tools one, once I've done that all the ones I need will have been made. If you have any icons that appear in your tray we could do some for those as well. I'm also happy to take requests if anyone has any.

...We could do the Office Icons, I suppose. Hell, we could just go and make hundreds of them for various apps but I thinks that's possibly taking it too far. I've come up with a simple way of converting icons to the monochrome effect but it relies on the icons being nice and clear at 16x16 (unlike the Windowblinds one).

EDIT: Done the Daemon Tools one and now have an IE and Resbuilder one as well. Also just downloaded IconBuilderXP from Iconfactory so I can convert them to .ico.

EDIT2: Finished converting to .ico, preview below.

Whoa, nice collection you got there. I worked on a few more as well, but I'm thinking that yours match the Sosumi ones more than mine (I used only two colors, except for three in the safari icons).

Here's another snapshot, you'll notice that I followed suit and made inverse versions for each ones.

edit: Hmm, one of the shield inverse doesn't look right in the snapshot. Oh, well. I think we could put these together as is as there doesn't seem to be any requests. How do you want to do this? Readme.txt, distribution and all.

What I could do is Zip mine up and post a release thread for them (Title:[release] Monochrome Tray Icons - Description: By Mimeryme and Acaeris) and you add your release to the thread when you get a chance. That way we can add to our own ones and update the thread whenever we get the chance.

I'm going to send an e-mail to Sosumi and ask for his permission incase someone asks me for it (You know what it's like round here lately).
