Ya, that dialog prob you have is caused from changing system fonts, because windows doesn't know how to resize the windows properly when you change to a larger than "8" size font..
I've solved this in my system files by specifically using a 10 point font in the files themselves, and resizing ALL dialogues/windows, etc in thes files.

whats with the start bar? is it object bar? is the "file edit view go etc" usable or just for visual purpose?
looks great btw.. i'm comparing it to my panther 10.3.4 and its practically dead on.
and one more question... in some of the windows, the font doesnt look consistant and almost faded/pixelated and squooshed. is this just the result of aqua-fying windows?
and if someone does upgrade to sp2, would there be any problems installing sp2?

The taskbar is called TrueLaunch bar I think, but I don't think the File, Edit, View etc. menus update to programs, they are just drop downs with common commands on them.
I agree about the font, the port of Lucidia Mac is very poor. On my CRT monitor it looks terrible (even with font smoothing and clear type on), I think it only looks good on LCD or TFT screens?
Anyway, Danimator thanks very much for all your hard work, the screens look fantastic, can't wait for this release! :rock:

nope, the top strip are just a bmp..but working on functionality for that..it MIGHT be possible.
maybe you can change the bmp accordingly to the section selected, but I don't know how does it works, just a thought..........

K, I need help from someone with a font editor....
As you know in my mods, the files themeselves call for "LucidaMAC".....but I know this font looks like crap on some systems, BUT, the font ya use MUST be named LucidaMAC, (and ya can't rename a font once installed, that's why it's gotta be done and saved in a font editor of some kind) so what I need....
I need someone that can open up Lucida Grande font in some font editor, and rename it to LucidaMAC and save it. (I tried a font editor, and have noooo idea 
So if someone can do that, and send me the new font, I'll include it as well in teh pack so you have a choice to install either font for the mods.
That should be the last thing to do, then I can release it (I hope haha )

Not to insult anyone..BUT
What is up with these installers anyway? back when these things started ( Icemans's system files) we had to do everything by hand! Nice and coool. Now everyone wants a installer...WHY? Just to make it easier?? In my opinion installers just take the fun out of Hacking your OS. It's supposed to be a LONG and tedious process. Not something you can do in 10 mins! :6 Rookies will think that it's all easy and that thers no hard work involved....desides using the ORIGINAL manual method allows users to chosee what part they want to mod. Installers can give options but it's not the same. When I first came to these forums (Aug 13 2003) I belive the only installer was Crooka's...(I might have messed up his name) and we all did it manually. Back then I found out that all my hard work and effort into modding my OS after all those hours was worth it because the after effect was a GOOD clean OS looking the way I wanted it to.. 
Agian I am not flamming...I am just saying these days people ask for more and more and they do less and less..People are getting lazzy. I mean how many times did I ask for a "request" ? If this does not apply to you do not worry. :canadian:
i find your comment slightly contradictive. if youre talking about people hacking at their computer themselves, then why even bother with iceman's files.. then in turn, everyone should just package their own files, make their own programs, and the aqua-soft/aquaxp communities should just shut down.. the point is to help everyone. ive been a member of both communities slightly longer than you, and the progress that has been is simply astonishing. and i know of your contribution to the community as well, and it is equally appreciated.
my question referrencing an uninstall wasn't meant to be an outlandish request.. many times people have come to problems when installing some of these packs, and an unstall just seems like a practical solution, rather than the tedious work of figuring out which files were altered and getting them back to the way they were originally, or moreover reinstalling the operating system.
and with SP2 on it's way, theres no sure way to tell how an install of that will be affected by a previous install of certain system file packs, and the safeway solution would be to uninstall the file packs, before installing the new SP2 or any other future software upgrades.

I see 11 post of good comments..which is always welcome But have you released anything? I shouldn't be the one to say that because I am not the owner..But what I said wasn't directed to you..yes you asked. But you asked in a nice way and didn't tell him you asked. Others I have seen have been here longer than both of us and have never EVER posted anything (you know who you are, LOSERS :6 ) Al they do is read and download. As for the hacking my own os aprt, I ment replacing your files manually.I don't know if it's just me but that used to be very fun. The hard work and pride I took into making XP look nice was very..very...worth it. Some really don't care. For those I have nothing to say.
My favorite package still to be installed by hand... i just can´t live without Snowe. But i can undestand, from the developers point, a good reason to use the installer. The installer itself reduces the chance of user error on installation, minimizing what could turn on a intensive and boring bur report. Installing can, in many ways, make sure that the result would turn what the developers want with mininum variations.
And the instaler can make more easy to hold the autory (i don´t know if it´s spelled right) of the files... since in open files someone can just change two or three icons and windows of the files and start releasing himself new variations.
Just my 2 cents, of course, since i´m not a developer, i may be wrong.

Did anyone ever tell you, your really annoying. You complain about so much and are a n00b in my opinion. I mean what are you like 12 I think you said you were that age once and I can certainly tell from the way you post. If people want things convenvient and easy let them have it that way. Not everyone is l337 and can do things so easily. I mean not everyone can mod there OS files. Look if someone wants to make there OS look cool and can't mod the files themselves are they not deserving of having there system modded? I think not and they will take the installer route.. Give people a break and cool down and start acting mature.
