I recently received an Apple E-News letter that said in Os X Panther, you can add an mp3 to the startup folder. I'm sure this will work for XP as well, just a helpful and cool tip. ![]()
Play A Song At Startup
For Windows, the file has to be a wave if you want to do it in the Sounds panel. Or you can add a Windows Media Player instance (classic mplayer.exe) with an MP3 to play minimalized at startup.
I wonder if they will add this support for Windows. Even though I don't think I will use it.
Yeah, i wouldnt use it either. When i had my winbox, i had sound alerts removed (except for the error and such) as to cut in start up time as much as possible. Imagine having an MP3 instead of a 20+/- kb wav; or better yet, mplayer.exe
@Hax0r: the tag "[tip]" doesnt exist. Dont come up with tags please ![]()
